‘Pirates VR: Jolly Roger’ Sets Sail for May Release for the PlayStation VR 2
The VR game market is a growing one, and while it is still very young, more and more titles are being released. There is still a lot of room for improvement, and not every gamer has embraced this form of gaming, but it is growing.
Proof of that is the new game by VRKiwi and Split Light Studio, which has officially received a release date for the PlayStation VR 2 and which will allow players to enter the amazing and dynamic world of pirates from their consoles.
The game in question is titled Pirates VR: Jolly Roger, and we can confirm that it is going to be released on May 15, 2025 for the PlayStation VR 2.
If you ever wanted to be a pirate and relive the life of a pirate, Pirates VR: Jolly Roger will allow you to do that from a first-person perspective, as you will take on the role of a pirate exploring a Caribbean island. A cursed island, at that!
The game was originally released on Steam in January, but it is now getting a PlayStation VR 2 version, which is also going to be enhanced when compared to the original.
The PlayStation VR 2 version will have an intro, showing a bar scene that introduces the player to the story and provides more details, making the experience even more engaging. On top of that, haptic elements have been added to deepen immersion and enhance the gaming experience by utilizing the full range of haptics available on PlayStation VR2. These will include vibrations on the controllers, the headset, and adaptive trigger effects.
