Harpagun, a wild and fast virtual reality game where you shoot and smash your way through alien worlds, is officially out now. You can grab it on the Meta Horizon Store, Steam, and PlayStation VR2 for $19.99. Even better, if you’re quick, you can get up to 50% off on the Meta Horizon Store from April 10 to 21.

Created by Something Random Games and former developers of SUPERHOT VR, Harpagun throws players into a colorful, post-apocalyptic sci-fi world. It’s packed with action, crazy monsters, and a high-energy soundtrack.

In the game, you play as a space junker-in-training, stranded on a dangerous alien planet. Things quickly get out of control, and you’ll need to fight your way out using your two harpoon guns for hands and a gravity ray.

The game has just left Early Access and now includes the full story mode. There are seven new levels, bringing the total to thirteen.

Players can also unlock three new weapons, face new bosses, and fight against new types of enemies, including stronger elite versions. Arcade Mode now includes boss fights, online leaderboards, and score rankings for each level.

Several improvements have been made to make the game smoother and more fun. Menus have been updated to be easier to use, early boss fights are now less punishing, and you can choose your difficulty level.

Special weapons now have more ammo, and the lighting and weapon feedback have also been improved to make everything look and feel more intense. The developers also fixed bugs and boosted performance across all levels.

In Harpagun, you explore different locations like forests, farmlands, abandoned space stations, tall city ruins, and underground alien tunnels. Every area is packed with things to interact with—like collapsing buildings and machines you can use to fight enemies.

The enemies are all unique, with different styles and ways of attacking. You’ll need to try new tactics to beat them. Along the way, you’ll upgrade your weapons, from basic guns to weird and powerful tools like bouncing lasers or grenade launchers that are alive.

This isn’t just a level-by-level shooter. Harpagun also has a real sci-fi story to uncover. The gameplay is fast and responsive, made especially for VR, and backed by a fun and intense soundtrack that matches the action.

Once you finish the story, you can keep playing in arcade and arena modes where it’s all about pure combat. The adventure may end—but the smashing doesn’t have to.

Harpagun is ready to play now. If you’re looking for something wild, colorful, and full of alien-blasting action, it’s time to jump in.
