Nintendo and Super Mario fans are looking forward to the beginning of June. Why? Well, not only is the Nintendo Switch 2 coming out on that date, but a new Mario Kart game – Mario Kart World – is also coming out on launch day.

The Mario Kart franchise has been extremely successful and a major hit for Nintendo, so having this game as the launch game for the new console actually makes a lot of sense, especially with the improvements it is going to bring.

But, for all those who cannot or do not want to buy a Switch 2 with the new World game, a group of modders created a very interesting solution.

As you know, Mario Kart has been present on many of Nintendo’s consoles, but it wasn’t really a handheld game until recently, when the previous game became a huge hit on the Nintendo Swith. Of course, Nintendo wanted to capitalize on that fact with a new game, and that’s how we got Mario Kart World.

Although it releases next month, Nintendo has released a series of videos showing off many aspects of the new game, including some of the maps that will be playable once the game comes out. And while the videos did not show everything, it was enough for this:

As you can see, a group of modders has decided to add the known Mario Kart World circuits to the Mario Kart Wii game, which looks amazing. This is nothing strange, as the same group of modders has already made some amazing mods, and we are now able to play tracks like Mario Bros. Circuit, Crown City, and DK Space Port in the Wii edition of the game.

It remains to be seen how Nintendo will react to this, seeing how they have a firm stance on hacking, modding, and the like, so the mod might not be available for a long period of time.
