Launched back in 2001 as a new console, Nintendo’s GameCube ended up being a solid hit with 21.74 million units sold. It never became a breakthrough title for Nintendo, but it was a solid outing that many players loved.

Among the major titles released for GameCube are Super Mario Sunshine, Super Smash Bros. Melee, Star Fox Adventures, Metroid Prime, Mario Kart: Double Dash, Pikmin, The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker, Animal Crossing and Luigi’s Mansion.

And while most of these titles continued on other consoles later on, fans of the original games might get the chance to play all of these games, and many more, on their Nintendo Switch consoles soon.

New Switch 2 Dev Kit Rumors Appear Before Nintendo’s Big Announcement

GameCube games coming to the Switch is a rumor we have heard before, and while numerous leakers and insiders talked about this, Nintendo still hasn’t confirmed anything yet. Now, another leaker has decided to discuss this issue:

In case you’re unable to watch Nate the Hate’s whole video, here is whyt he said: “I’ve heard GameCube will be coming to NSO [Nintendo Switch Online]. It’s just a question of when, not if. And maybe you give a nice little roadmap of some of the titles that would come to the GameCube NSO app.”

Take this with a grain of salt, of course, as it is still just a rumor, but this seems like a plausble one, especially considering how other insiders and leakers talked about the same thing. We will definitely bring you more information as soon as we have some!
