Hollow Knight Silksong Coming to Both Switch and Switch 2

Team Cherry Games has confirmed that Hollow Knight: Silksong will release on both the original Nintendo Switch and the upcoming Switch 2.

This news came after fans noticed a small teaser during the recent Nintendo Switch 2 Direct and started wondering if the game would only be available on the new console.

Now, thanks to a social media post from Team Cherry’s marketing team member Matthew Griffin, fans can relax.

The game will launch on both versions of the Nintendo console, and it’s also coming to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and Xbox Game Pass. However, there is still no exact release date.

Hollow Knight: Silksong was first announced in 2019, but it has been delayed many times. In 2022, the developers said the game would launch within a year, but in May 2023, they shared that it had been delayed again with no new date.

The most recent update from Nintendo gave a general release window of 2025. That means the game might come out sometime within the next eight months, but nothing is confirmed yet. Fans are excited, but it’s best not to expect too much until an official date is announced.
