In a world such as the one we live in now, the idea of living in a post-apocalyptic setting caused by a nuclear disaster is very intriguing because many believe that it is possible. And while we can never fully predict such a world, we can always entertain different possibilities.

One such possibility is going to be presented to us in a new game coming from Japan and in this report, you will find out everything you need to know!

DMZ: Nuclear Survival is a post-apocalyptic survival indie game that was recently presented at the NDIE Live Expo 2025, and the devs believe that it can bring something new to the popular genre.

The game is described as a multiplayer open-world survival craft game. The setting is a post-nuclear disaster world in which the players will have the ability to train their own, private military group and recruit survivors to train as soldiers.

The supercontinent Pangaea, which is the setting of the game, will have a very interesting concept. Namely, the map will be editable and procedurally generated, which will provide for an interesting challenge, and will feature various terrains such as forests, grasslands, wastelands, deserts, and snowfields.

Players will be able to explore, excavate relics from ancient ruins, and fight for survival by recruiting more survivors for their cause. Each player will have a base of their own, but they will face challenging battles while exploring Pangaea, facing both NPCs and other players.

The game will have immersive PvE and competitive PvP multiplayer modes, with the ability to set up servers and play with over 100 players. The game will be available in Japanese, English, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, French, Italian, German, Spanish (Spain), Portuguese (Brazil), Russian, and Korean.

The game is currently slated for a Steam release, although no release date has been given. An Early Access release is planned as well, so stick with us for more updates!
