'Dune: Awakening' Announces Slight Delay to Implement Last-Minute Improvements

As we’ve reported, the highly-anticipated Dune: Awakening MMORPG has been delayed to June 10, and so far, it seems that there are no plans for any further delays. The delay doesn’t mean that players will be without Dune: Awakening content during May.

Namely, the developers are planing a large-scale event to be held in May and many players will probably be quite happy with the opportunity to play the game before the official release.

Alongside a new story trailer, which has also been released recently, we are going to bring you all the information you need about the upcoming event!

As you can see, the developers are quite ambitious about the project and it seems that the event planned in May will tell us a lot whether these ambitions are unfounded or not. So, what do we know?

Well, Dune: Awakening has been in closed beta mode for over a year now and while those lucky enough to have played the game are praising it, it is still a small number and it remains to be seen how a larger audience will react to the game. And that could happen in May.

Namely, the developers are planing a large-scale beta mode for May, confirming that “tens of thousands” of players will be able to experience the game. Also, this beta won’t be closed for outsiders, as the gameplay will be available for sharing.

What does this beta bring us? According to the devs, it will bring about 20 hours of gameplay, giving the players a sense of what the game will feel like, as well as the first story arc, most of which will be included in the beta.

The event will run from May 9 to May 12, 2025, and in order to get a key, players can either either visit Dune: Awakening‘s Steam page and click on the ‘Request Access’ button, or tune into the Global LAN Party Broadcast on May 10, which will include developer chat and more information.
