‘Dune: Awakening’ Announces Slight Delay to Implement Last-Minute Improvements
The success of Denis Villeneuve’s Dune films revived global interest in Frank Herbert’s genre-defining sci-fi saga. Since then, several new projects have been announced or even released, expanding the world of the beloved franchise.
The Dune: Awakening video game is one of those projects. The initial information had it listed for a May 20, 2025 release but we can now confirm that the game has been pushed back.
Luckily, the delay won’t be long and based on what has been said by the devs, the reason for the delay is more than reasonable!
Dune: Awakening is going to be a major MMORPG that will get a PC release initially, but will later be ported to consoles as well, getting a PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S release as well at one point.
As said, the game was supposed to be released on May 20, 2025, but it has been pushed back, as you can read here:

The delay is not that long, which is good. The game, thus, comes out on June 5 for those who have pre-ordered it, while everyone will be able to play it starting June 10. It’s only a couple of weeks, so that’s fine.
The reason? The beta testers have given the devs some valuable input and they are now making these last-minute improvements to the game in order to make it perfect for the wide release.
Seeing that this is the reason behind the delay, we can only support it and patiently wait for the June release.
