I’m thrilled to share some exciting news for RuneScape lovers. Today, a brand-new chapter in the RuneScape universe unfolds with the launch of ‘RuneScape: Dragonwilds’ on Steam Early Access. This game invites us to dive into a magical, dragon-filled world, and I can’t wait to explore what it has in store.

Set on the mysterious continent of Ashenfall, ‘RuneScape: Dragonwilds’ is a survival crafting adventure where up to four players can team up. The goal? Take on the Dragon Queen, a fearsome foe at the heart of an epic quest. We’ll need to gather resources, build shelters, and hone our skills to survive in a land where dragons rule and danger is everywhere.

Ashenfall is a stunning, handcrafted world packed with vibrant regions and ancient ruins. The land is alive with Anima, a wild magic that lets us do incredible things—like snapping our fingers to blast ore or summoning a ghostly axe to chop trees in a flash. This mix of high fantasy, light RPG elements, and classic RuneScape lore makes every moment feel alive and immersive.

Crafting is a big part of the game. We can forge gear, brew potions, and level up to face not only dragons but also new creatures and iconic RuneScape monsters. Whether playing solo or with friends, the cooperative gameplay keeps things exciting. Exploring Ashenfall means uncovering secrets of forgotten civilizations and learning how to stand against the dragon threat.

Jagex, the creators of RuneScape, are putting community feedback at the core of this project. Executive Producer Jesse America shared that the team is eager to build the game alongside players. ‘We want to create a fresh RuneScape experience that sparks creativity and adventure,’ Jesse said. Throughout Early Access, expect regular updates with new quests, gear, music, and a haunting new region called Fellhollow, where a dragon overlord and a familiar RuneScape character clash.

The RuneScape universe, born in 2001 by Jagex, has grown into a beloved franchise with millions of players. ‘RuneScape: Dragonwilds’ builds on this legacy, offering a survival crafting spin that feels distinct yet true to the series’ roots. I’m excited to jump in and see how our feedback shapes this journey. For more details on what’s coming, check out the game’s Steam page.
