2026 BMW XM Remains the Only XM Model for the 2026 Line-Up, Comes with Faster Charging

BMW is one of the biggest and most recognizable automobile brands in the whole world. The Greman company has specialized in the manufacturing of fast and luxurious vehicles, which is why they have become a symbol of prestige.
In 2023, the company debuted its intriguing BMW XM line with a 644-hp plug-in hybrid powertrain, while 2024 saw the debut of the stronger Label variant, which was also spectacular.
Now, the 2026 line has been introduced, and we are only going to have one variant once again, as the company showcased its 2026 BMW XM, which will be the 738-hp Label model.
Since there won’t be any other trims, all 2026 XM models will have the combination of a twin-turbocharged V-8 and an electric motor that will generate 738 horsepower and 738 pound-feet of torque, which makes for a pretty strong vehicle, mind you.
The 4.4-liter engine will be able to generate 577 hp all by itself, while the transmission-mounted electric motor makes 194 hp. It will run on all four wheels and will sport an eight-speed automatic transmission. The car should be able to go from zero to 60 mph in a claimed 3.6 seconds. The maximum speed is limited to 155 mph, but if you go for the M Driver’s package, you will get a 175-mph maximum.
The new model will also sport a new individual color, as well as three separate color combinations for the interior. There will also be a special color for the 23-inch alloy wheels.
As for the charger, we can confirm that BMW has increased the onboard AC charger from 7.4 kilowatts to 11 kilowatts. This will enable the XM to utilize its 26-kWh battery more quickly.
Production is expected to start in August, and while the pricing hasn’t been confirmed, we expect that it will be around the previous model’s $186,175.
