Toyota’s Upcoming bZ4X Touring Will Be the Company’s Most Powerful EV on the Market

So, as we’ve said, Toyota has announced the stretched, off-road-focused variant of the popular bZ4X electric SUV, the bZ4X Touring, which is set to arrive in the UK next spring, and it might be a very interesting addition to Toyota’s slate.
The new model will be bigger and more powerful, which will allow for a more immersive driving experience, especially if you’re considering longer drives.
The new model will add 140mm in length and 20mm in height, which might not seem like much when you look at the numbers, but it adds to the whole experience and the whole redesign will include more space on the inside – the new model will see an increase of 148 litres to 600 litres in total.
The general impression, as you can see from the image, is that the new Touring is significantly more rugged, and it looks great.
The Touring will be based on the e-TNGA platform and will put out 376 bhp, which is a solid increase from the regular SUV’s 338 bhp, and also a fact that makes the Touring Toyota’s most powerful EV to date. A 221 bhp single-motor set-up will also be offered to customers upon release.
As for the power, the Touring will have a new 74.4 kWh (usable) battery, which is a small increase from the previously used 73.1 kWh pack. The range hasn’t been disclosed yet, but the original model offered a 318-mile range with its best performance, so we expect an increase in that department.
The prices have yet to be determined.
