Before we continue, here is the video in question:

The GameShare feature is a new feature to the Switch 2 console that will allow players who have a Switch 2 to share their games locally with other players, even if they don’t have the game personally. The video above utilizes a Switch 2 and an old Switch console to show you hot it is going go work.

It doesn’t seem overly complex, to be fair, and the feature will probably allow Switch (2) owners to enjoy the console even more.

It is important to note that the feature is exclusive to the switch 2, so only Switch 2 owners will be able to share games, but the good thing is that both the Switch and the Switch 2 will be on the receiving end.

This means that even if you have a Switch, you will still be able to use GameShare, although only as a recipient; if the game is compatible, you’ll be able to play it if someone near you has a Switch 2, but you won’t be able to share any games yourself, as the function is not available on the Switch.
