This piece of information is relevant for arcade gamers and fans of arcade gaming. The company has announced that a portion of Konami Amusement’s activities will be transferred to a new company that is going to be established at the beginning of June 2025.

This new company will be focused on arcade gaming and will be established on June 2, 2025 under the name Konami Arcade Games. The company will be established via an absorption-type split, and the split will be effective on October 1, 2025.

Why was this decision made? As Konami officially confirmed, “the market environment surrounding arcade games and pachinko and pachislot machines continues to change significantly.” In light of that, the company decided to split its business to make it more specialized.

This means that Konami Amusement will continue to focus on the pachinko and pachislot machines business, while the new Konami Arcade Games company will focus on the arcade games business, as the name reveals.

As for the leading people, Katsunori Okita will continue to serve as the representative director and president of Konami Amusement, will Yoshitaka Nishimura will become the representative director and president of Konami Arcade Games.
