The EV market is changing almost on a daily basis due to various reasons, as the market’s volatility is causing insecurity among (potential) buyers. This means that the future of the market is uncertain, and while it won’t die away, of course, it is impossible to predict how it is going to evolve.

Many manufacturers are either increasing their prices as a response or are reducing the number of EVs for the future, or even both, which is a big blow for the market as a whole. But there are some positive examples.

Namely, Kia has recently revealed the pricing options of its 2026 EV9 slate, and we can confirm that there are many financial benefits there and that the EV9 will be even more affordable next year.

2025’s Kia EV9 is Being Recalled Again

First, to get this out of the way. The 2026 EV9 will retain most of the elements from the previous models, but there will be some cool new elements, and Kia has shared the following details for the several trims:

Before we get to EV9 pricing, here are some additional updates, per Kia:

  • All AWD trims (Wind/Land/GT-Line) gain Terrain Mode (Mud/Snow/Sand), replacing the 4WD
  • 2026 GT-Line gains two new two-tone exterior color options:
    • Glacial White Pearl with Ebony Black roof
    • Wolf Gray with Ebony Black roof
  • New Nightfall Edition available on the Land trim
    • Design and performance enhancements
    • Exclusive 20-inch gloss black wheels, black badging, and gloss black trim
    • New Roadrider Brown exclusive exterior color
    • Exclusive interior seat stitching pattern and design elements
    • Offered with both 6-passenger and 7-passenger seating configurations at no extra cost

Now that we’ve explained what’s going to be new, we can confirm that Kia won’t be increasing the prices for the EV9 and not just that – some trims will have the lowest prices they’ve ever had, which is great, especially since it is likely that the federal tax credits won’t be applicable next year (sadly). As for the numbers, here is what Kia revealed:

Trim202420252026
Light Standard Range$54,900$54,900$54,900
Light Long Range$59,200$59,900$57,900
Wind$63,900$63,900$63,900
Land$69,900$69,900$68,900
GT-Line$73,900$73,900$71,900

We’ve provided you with a comparative table so that you can see that there are no increases when compared to previous years, and that some trims will sport lower prices. The decrease is not major, but it is certainly useful and it might help the EV market in general as well.
