The Volkswagen Group Is Launching a China-Exclusive Brand Named AUDI

Owned by the Volkswagen Group, Audi has been a brand in the luxury car market for decades now. Audi cars have been a symbol of luxury, elegance, but also quality for a long time and the company has managed to keep the brand alive and on the necessary level.
And while primarily an European car, Audi has managed to achieve the same status in China, which is one of the largest car markets we have in the world. It shouldn’t come as a surprise, thus, that Audi is investing more in the Chinese market.
Namely, the company has decided to launch an exclusive brand and line of cars under the name AUDI (all caps), and we have some details for you.
The decision to launch an exclusive brand comes in a time when Audi sales in China are dropping, so this seems like a smart decision from a financial point of view. The new cars will not come with Audi’s traditional four-ring emblem, but rather with the new “AUDI” textual logo, as seen in the pictures.
The first model will be a version of the AUDI E concept, which seemingly won’t be much different, but it will add something new. The company has revealed it will have a 100-kWh battery offering up to 435 miles (700 km) of range under China’s CLTC test cycle, an 800-volt architecture for ultra-fast charging, allowing the battery to gain 230 miles (370 km) of range in just 10 minutes, and dual motors that deliver 764 horsepower and 590 lb-ft of torque, enabling a 0-62 mph sprint in just 3.6 seconds.
The exterior will also get a redesign, and the interior will be filled with technological additions that will certainly make the car a must-have for loyal drivers. More details, as well as models, are set to be revealed in the near future, so be sure to keep following us for more updates!
