The Ancient Magus’ Bride is a popular fantasy romance manga by Kore Yamazaki that premiered back in 2013. As of the time of writing, there are 21 volumes of the manga published. It has also been adapted into an anime series, whose last season ended in 2023.
On top of that, the franchise is now getting its own game, as a visual novel titled The Ancient Magus’ Bride: The Phantom Midsummer and the Dreaming Journey has been announced. A new video for the game has been revealed, confirming the release date.
Before we actually continue, here is the video:
The video is actually the game’s opening movie, and as you can see, it promises a very interesting premise and atmosphere that will surely satisfy fans of the original series. The video also confirms that the game will be released on October 2, 2025 and that it will be released for the PC, as well as the PlayStation 5. It will also have support for English-speaking players.
Fans of visual novels have something to look forward to, especially since the game comes from a large brand and will expand on the original story, which is why we’re hopeful that the game will be a proper hit later this year.
