'Clair Obscur: Expedition 33' Lead Writer Reveals She Was Initially Hired as a Voice Actress

The hit RPG Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 from French studio Sandfall Interactive has taken 2025 by storm. With its unexpected success, fans are already wondering if the game will make its way to Nintendo Switch 2. So, could a port happen?

Recently, Guillaume Broche, the CEO of Sandfall Interactive, shared some thoughts on the matter during an interview with the YouTube channel mistermv. While he didn’t confirm anything, he did hint that it’s now more of a possibility:

“Yeah, it’s definitely something that could be interesting.“

The sudden popularity of Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 has changed things for the studio. According to Broche, the success has opened up more opportunities, including the idea of a Switch 2 port. However, he emphasized that it’s still too early to make any promises.

Though there’s no official word yet, it’s clear that the developer is open to the idea. Considering how well the game has been received, it wouldn’t be surprising if they decided to bring it to Nintendo’s latest console eventually.

One reason the game has gained so much attention is word-of-mouth. Additionally, its inclusion on Xbox’s Game Pass has significantly boosted its exposure.

Critics have also praised the game for being bold and creative. They also highlighted the game’s engaging story, lovable characters, and dynamic combat, calling it a must-play.
