Th NFL Is Close to an Exclusive Broadcast Deal with YouTube

The National Football League (NFL) is one of the most popular sports leagues in the world. And while American football is not as popular outside the U.S. as some other sports, the NFL is and the games are broadcast all over the world.
As you know, though, the NFL has been expanding its presence in recent years with deals with streaming services like Amazon and Netflix. And while this has helped expand the popularity of the league, it seems that it’s not the end.
Namely, it has been reported that the NFL is very close to signing a new, exclusive broadcast deal and we have the information here for you.
As you know, when it comes to streaming online video content, YouTube is the biggest streaming service in the world. And it’s free, which is a very important thing for the story of this article.
Namely, aside from traditional TV broadcasts, the NFL has expanded into the world of home streaming services, but these services are not free. Sure, you get to watch the games, but you have to pay the subscription free for the streaming service, which is not the case with YouTube.
That is why the news that NFL is close to signing a deal with YouTube is so big, as it would allow fans of the NFL from all over the world to watch it for free. According to the reports we have, YouTube could be getting stream rights for its first exclusive NFL game on Friday of the opening week of the season.
This would be the first time that YouTube is streaming an NFL game live, as well as the first time that NFL games would be available worldwide for free. So far, the deal seemingly encompasses just one game – one featuring the Los Angeles Chargers and an unknown opponent at this point – but if it turns out to be a success, we might be heading towards a revolution, which would be amazing.
