Among the in-development EV models is the, as we’ve said, Range Rover Velar EV, which is going to be less affordable than the main electric SUV (although the company has boasted with a wishlist of almost 60,000 people), which is set to debut months after the main Range Rover Electric and Sport models.

The model will come with a major visual overhaul, as you can see in the video, as well as with an 800V platform. The model will be a bit larger than standard models, but the interior is supposed to be minimalist with a lot of focus on premium tech.

JLR’s CEO Adrian Mardell said last year that the Velar would be the first EV to use the company’s new EMA platform. “We’ll first have MLA BEV, with the Range Rover BEV later next year. Then it’s the first vehicle off EMA, which will probably be springtime in 2026,” he said back then.

The official release date has not been revealed, but be sure to stick with us for more updates and mark your 2026 calendar if you liked this preview!
