Your console may also be overheating due to dust covering the vents or the vent being blocked by an object. 

If the vent is blocked by either dust or any other objects, it could cause the console to overheat faster than usual which will lead to your console turning off and when you turn it on, it will only beep but won’t come on.

How To Fix PS5 Beeps But Won’t Turn On

There are various steps involved in fixing this problem. The following are the steps to fix or troubleshoot this issue:

Manually Reboot PS5 

Hold down the power button for 15 seconds to restart your PS5 console. The restart will come with a warning notice appearing on the screen during this process. Once you’ve done this and the problem isn’t resolved, you can move on to the next solution. 

Check The Power Supply

If you’re still having issues with your PS5 not turning on but beeping, try rebooting your PS5 console. If the console is unable to remain powered on at all times, you’ll need to examine the power source to confirm your speculations. Make sure to examine the power cable by disconnecting it from the AC source. 

If the power source is damaged, try contacting your electricity vendors to see if a replacement is available. If you can get a replacement, install a replacement and go on to test the power source, if this isn’t the problem, then the issue may be due to the power cable being faulty.

  • Press the power button on the front panel of the console to ensure that the console has been shut down successfully. 
  • Press and hold the power button for a few seconds and whenever you hear the second beep, press and hold the power button for 30 seconds. 
  • Press the PS button on the controller to start playing the console if the restart was successful. 
  • Select the first option when your console enters safe mode, also select the first option to help restart your PlayStation. 

Clean Your PS5 

The reason why your PS5 may not be coming on may be due to the ventilation being dirty. If your console has built-up dirt or grime on its Fan or inside it, this may cause it to not work properly. So make sure to clean your PS5 ventilation too while troubleshooting this problem.
