Norman Reedus Is Down for Playing Sam in Upcoming ‘Death Stranding’ Movie

When it came out in 2019, Death Stranding became a global hit. Hideo Kojima proved, once again, that he is one of the foremost gaming developers of our time and Death Stranding proved just how big of a genius he is.
The game was not complex, but the world Kojima built, combined with the beautifully complex story, captured the hearts of fans all around the world. As we know, a sequel is coming next month, but there could be more.
As you know, there have been talks about a movie adaptation of Death Stranding and it seems that the project is moving on. In light of that, the game’s star, Norman Reedus, commented on his involvement in the movie.
As you know, Norman Reedus lent his voice and likeness to the character of Sam Porter Bridges, the main character of Death Stranding. The game was full of celebrity cameos, but Reedus’ character was in the forefront.
That is why, when a movie was announced, the natural reaction of everyone was to have Reedus reprise his role. And while no casting information has been revealed, here is what Reedus recently said about returning to the role for the movie:

As expected, Reedus is all in for a return and to be honest, getting him back for the movie would be the best thing, unless the movie decides to tackle a different time period or location from Kojima’s universe.
What do we know about the movie? Well, it’s being produced by A24 and we know that Michael Sarnoski is going to direct the film, with Ari Aster and Lars Knudsen signing on as producers. No release window has been given, and we don’t have any casting information at this point.
