Next ‘Batman’ Game Could Be a Next-Gen Console Release

Ever since Batman: Arkham Knight came out, there has been speculation about a new Batman video game. Several games have come out in the mean time – including the somewhat underwhelming Gotham Knights and the disappointing Suicide Squad games – but what the fans really want is a major game akin to the ArkhamVerse games.

And while several rumors discussed a potential Arkham Knight sequel focused on Damian, as well as a Batman Beyond game, no one has provided us with any official information, but we did find something interesting.

Namely, a recent job ad from Warner Bros. has aroused our interest, as it mentions not just the current consoles, but also the next generation of consoles which would include the next iteration of the Xbox as well as the PlayStation 6.

Now, to be fair, the ad does not mention any Batman game or any game at all, but seeing how it mentions next-gen consoles, it could be possible that Warner Bros. is aiming for a next-gen release when it comes to a Batman game.

The Arkham games revolutionized gameplay for the PS3 and PS4 in many ways, which is why it makes sense that WB wants to deliver something special, but only time will tell when a new Batman game is going to come out.
