Ford Issues Partial 2025 Ford Maverick Recall Over Small Safety Error

You might remember that we’ve recently written about a major recall of Ford’s models. Well, as you know, when dealing with mass production, it is normal for errors and problems to appear, but the American company seems to be having more problems than others.
Namely, a new partial recall will be issued for the 2025 Ford Maverick and we will bring you the details.
The good things are that the issue is small and easily fixable, but still, you have to wonder about the fact that Ford has been having so many recalls recently, as it might be a sign of a bigger, underlying issue.
This time, luckily, it’s not a whole series of models, it’s just the compact 2025 Maverick pickup, which is only relatively good, as the recall will encompass a total of 63,898 vehicles, which is by no means a small number.
So, what’s the issue this time? It’s a small safety problem and it involves retaining clips for the airbag indicator light, which “may be loose or dislodged,” as per the official report. The good thing, as we’ve said, is that it affects only the 2025 models; if it turns out that earlier models are also affected, we’ll be talking about a six-figure recall.
Owners will be notified via e-mail by Monday, June 9, 2025, about the recall, but a second mail will be issued once the fix is available. This means that the company is still working on the remedy, or is waiting for the new retaining clips to arrive.
If you’re wondering whether it’s safe to drive, this seems like a relatively small issue, and based on the official report, the car is safe to drive regardless of the existing issue. This is a good thing, but still, drivers are advised to watch out and drive safely until the issue is officially fixed. Of course, the fix will cost the owners nothing.
