Recalls happen from time to time, and it shouldn’t be a major surprise if a company issues a recall for a certain model or group of vehicles over an issue that had just been detected. It’s a nag, but it’s nothing thoroughly unusual.

But, Ford has been experiencing such issues in recent times quite often and we are sad to confirm that yet another recall will officially be issued by Ford next week, and you might be surprised by its scope.

This is going to be a massive recall, as the information we have confirms, and the reason is a software issue that might make the rearview camera buggy.

According to the report, the issue is related to a software error that could prevent the rearview camera from working properly and showing what it is supposed to show. More speficivally, the report claims that the rearview camera’s images may delay, freeze, or not display at all, which, as you can imagine, is a serious issue.

But it’s not the issue that’s as concerning as the two facts we are going to reveal now.

The first one is related to the scope of the vehicles encompassed by the report. As we can confirm, the cars affected are the 2021-2024 Bronco, F-150, Edge, the 2023-2024 Escape, Corsair, F-250, F-350, F-450, F-550, and F-600, the 2022-2024 Expedition, the 2022-2025 Transit, the 2021-2023 Mach-E, Lincoln Nautilus, the 2024 Ranger, Mustang, and the 2022-2024 Navigator.

This is a arge amount of models! According to the official sales numbers, this will actually impact a total of 1,075,299 vehicles, which is incredible! And not in a good way, no!

The second fact is that this report and issue is yet another one in Ford’s tally for 2025, with the manufacturer being a notorious record-holder for 2025. Namely, with more than 50 recalls this year alone, Ford is at the top of this negative list.

This might indicate some deeper issues within the company, but that is something we don’t know at this point. Just, be careful with your camers and follow the official recall information from Ford as they are release.
