The recent success of the Clair Obscure: Expedition 33 turn-based RPG led to the inevitable rise of popularity of such games around the world and that is something that we on TechCrawlr are following closely.

And while the genre itself has been popular and the success of the recent game is by no means a guarantee that other games will also be successful, we are happy to announce that a new turn-based JRPG is coming out very soon.

The developers of Etheria: Restart have confirmed that the game is coming out soon and we have all the details here for you!

Etheria: Restart’s global pre-launch livestream was held this weekend and a lot of fans tuned in to find out about the upcoming game. This turn-based JRPG “immerses players in a future where elite warriors known as Hyperlinkers command sentient beings called Animus in sleek, tactical combat.”

The preview showed us a lot of enhancement that will be introduced to the game, like “new systems like the Smart Shells, which offer tactical AI support in battle, and Origin Gear, a modular progression tool allowing deeper customization of Animus builds.” The game’s original feel will be retained, but new mechanics and layers will add more flair to the game.

Also, the game will introduce the Phantom Theatre, a cooperative PvE mode that “lets players team up to overcome bosses in dramatic staged encounters,” while the Real-Time Arena (RTA) will allow PvP players to enjoy head-to-head combat.

It has been confirmed that a closed beta will be released on May 8, 2025, while the full game will be released on June 5, 2025 across iOS, Android, PC, and Steam. Before we sign off, here is the trailer:
