The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered was a major release. The game was basically announced and released on the same day, and despite the fact that it was a surprise release and a remaster, the game became a major hit and a bestseller.

Of course, players are looking forward to more Bethesda content, but The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered was so well-received that we cannot say anything against it. Plus, it really is a great game, and it deserved a proper remaster.

But, while the game has evolved in a major way, the game still has some issues, and the stuttering present in the game is one notable issue that remains unfixed since the original release.

Of course, with the modding community there, many people released anti-stuttering mods for the game and, considering the popularity of such mods, a popular group of YouTube creators has decided to analyze whether these mods actually work.

We have marked the part of the video talking about the anti-stuttering mods, but there are other interesting aspects in the discussion, so you can watch the whole video if you have the time.

Now to the gist of the discussion.

The video explains how the development process works and what happens inside the game that can potentially cause stuttering. The mods that are present on the marker should generally fix these issues, but there is a catch.

Namely, as it has been explained in the video, there is little to no evidence that the mods actually help there. They rely on the placebo effect, but if you look at the evidence provided in the video, there is little to no actual proof that it actually works.

It’s not as if these mods ruin the game, but they don’t help either, so it’s, in a way, a scam, which is sad. The good thing is that the video also confirms that Bethesda is aware of the issue, that they have localized the source ,and that they are working on it, so it is possible that we will be getting an official patch soon.
