You Can Now Use an Xbox Controller to Type in Windows
Microsoft is expanding the capabilities of both its Windows 11 operating system and its Xbox gaming franchise with a new update that might help gamers work on both their PCs and their Xboxs with one gadget!
Namely, a new update has been released by Microsoft that enables a gamepad for the operating system that you can operate using your Xbox controller, which will make use significantly easier from more than one aspect.
The new gamepad will have shortcuts that are fully compatible with the Xbox controller and will include the X button for backspace, the Y button for the spacebar, and the menu button to hit enter.
As for why this is happening, well, we’ve recently reported that Microsoft is looking to create a handheld gaming PC, a blend between your traditional gaming PC and Xbox, bringing the best of both worlds.
In light of that, this update comes as a small step towards that integration, as it will allow users to get used to combining these two elements together.
