To be honest, you might or might not remember the Super People battle royale game. This South Korean project initially launched in 2022 and achieved the #1 ranking for new games on Steam and garnered 4.3 million players.

Since then, though, the game has been more or less a non-event, never even receiving a full version 1.0 launch. In fact, by August 2023, the Early Access had been discontinued, and the live service was terminated.

But! The developers have just announced a major return for the game with a closed Beta test that is set to roll out in June this year, and we have the details.

In case you’ve forgotten or don’t know, in Super People, players control a super-soldier armed with powerful weapons and abilities in battle against other super-soldiers. The goal of the game is to be the last one standing.

The game features 14 different classes, and those who’ve played the game will get the chance to go back to the world of Super People once again this June. Namely, Wonder People, the company behind the game, has confirmed that a closed Beta Test is coming!

So, the game is officially getting a revamped version on Steam, and the developers have confirmed that an 8-day closed Beta Test will be held starting on June 19, 2025. The new version will be a significant upgrade from the original release.

“The Wonder People team has been hard at work enhancing the overall player experience, addressing and implementing user feedback. Notable changes include introducing a jury system to combat cheating, adjustments to character and weapon balance, and adding a new resurrection skill to open up strategy in battle even more. Efforts have also been made to streamline the onboarding process for new players and get them right into the action,” Hur Min, the director of Super People, commented.
