'Starship Troopers: Extermination' Confirms Patch 1.4 for 2025, Reveals Details and Updates

Despite the fact that the original cinematic franchise is currently dead, the Starship Troopers franchise is still alive and kicking. A testament to that is the recently released Starship Troopers: Extermination video game, which is quite popular.

The game was released back in 2024 (a limited release came in 2023, while 2024 saw a full, wide release), and it has been evolving since then with a solid player base. Recently, details about the upcoming Patch 1.3 were released, and now the devs have given us a tease of what is to come in the future.

At this point, we know that Patch 1.4 is going to be released later this year. We also received some teases of what we can expect, but we would like to point out that this is only a tease of what is to come and not a full list of updates. This is normal, since things will most certainly change until then, so the devs will probably add more content there.

So, here’s what we can expect, as per the official press release:

  • Underbarrel Attachment for Morita MK1 – A highly requested feature is finally making its way into the arsenal, opening the door for future Morita MK2 & MK3 upgrades.
  • Broadcast Heroism System – Become a Federation war reporter! Recover Federal Network Broadcast Cameras on the battlefield and capture the chaos to boost your squad’s Morale XP. Side objectives in ARC and Horde modes will now feature these thrilling recording opportunities.
  • And many more updates and Quality-of-Life Enhancements

As stated, this is just a preview of what is to come and even the devs are confirming that there will be more. We’ll just have to wait a bit and enjoy the game until then!
