‘Oblivion’ Remaster Could Be Huge – File Size Leaked Online
The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion is one of the most loved games in the RPG world. It first came out in 2005 and quickly became a fan favorite. Now, it looks like a remastered version is on the way—and it might be massive in size.
Even though the game hasn’t been officially announced yet, it’s becoming one of the worst-kept secrets in gaming. Many leaks and rumors have hinted that a remaster of Oblivion is in the works.
The latest leak comes from the Twitter account @XOXLeak, which claims the file size of the Oblivion Remaster will be 120 GB.
To compare, the original version of Oblivion was just 4.6 GB. That’s a huge difference. If the leaked number is true, the new version will be over 39 times bigger than the original. That shows how much more content and detail might be packed into this remaster.
There’s a good reason for the larger size. It’s rumored that the remaster is being made with Unreal Engine 5, a powerful game engine used for making modern games look more realistic. This engine uses high-quality graphics, detailed textures, and complex environments—all of which take up a lot of space.
So, while 120 GB might sound huge, it makes sense for a modern remake of a classic game. Many new AAA games today are around the same size or even larger.
Even with all the leaks, Bethesda and Microsoft haven’t said anything about the Oblivion Remaster. They haven’t confirmed its existence or given any kind of teaser. Still, fans are excited. Many people online are talking about it and searching for clues. Some fans even believe they’ve found hidden hints on the official Bethesda website and on search engines like Bing.
This kind of excitement shows how much love there is for Oblivion, even all these years later. Players are ready to jump back into the world of Tamriel—this time with updated graphics and possibly new features.
With so much talk and so many leaks, fans believe the official reveal could happen very soon. If true, Oblivion Remaster could end up being one of the biggest game announcements of the year.
