Insomniac Games Gives Small Update on Marvel’s Wolverine for PS5

Fans of Marvel’s Wolverine game have been waiting for news since it was first announced back in 2021. While there was some leaked gameplay that made its way online, developer Insomniac Games has stayed mostly quiet — until now.

Recently, a fan on social media accused Insomniac of ignoring the community and not giving any updates. In response, the studio decided to speak up. Their message didn’t reveal much, but it did confirm something important — Marvel’s Wolverine is still in development.

“We’re actively working on Marvel’s Wolverine for PS5,” Insomniac wrote. “We’ll share news about the game when we are ready to share it. That will always be our answer. We can’t act on everything requested when things take time, resources, and the greenlight to share them.“

This response didn’t include any new footage or release date, but it reassured fans that the game hasn’t been forgotten. It just needs more time.

Insomniac is known for making big games like Marvel’s Spider-Man, Ratchet & Clank, and Spider-Man 2, which came out in 2023. These games take a lot of effort, people, and time to create — especially for a new title like Wolverine, which is expected to be darker and more intense than their Spider-Man games.

Many fans understand that making a game like this isn’t easy. Today’s video games are huge, detailed, and expensive. Developers need time to “let it cook” — to make sure the final product is as good as it can be.

While the wait continues, fans are hoping that Wolverine will be worth it. For now, all we know is that Insomniac is working hard behind the scenes, and we’ll hear more when the team is ready.
