NVIDIA's Groot N1 AI Has Finally Debuted

NVIDIA has finally revealed the NVIDIA Isaac GR00T N1, aka Groot N1, a functional foundation AI model for humanoid robots. The popular chipmaker is thus diving into the world of AI robotics in a very interesting way.

The announcement came at the company’s annual GTC conference, which took place in San Jose, California. As of now, the robot has been trained on existing datasets and synthetically generated data, the company confirmed, and the blueprints, as well as the data will be released at a later date.

NVIDIA’s CEO, Jensen Huang, said that “the age of generalist robotics is here,” adding that the new model will actually “open the next frontier in the age of AI.” This is a very bold statement, but based on how ambitious NVIDIA is about its Project Groot, it actually makes a lot of sense.
