“The Times They Are a-Changin’,” said Bob Dylan back in 1963 when he recorded the song with that title. Today, it is one of Dylan’s most famous songs. And it is also a very true statement when the tech market is concerned.

After years of a relatively stable market situation with predictable outcomes when it comes to prices and other financial aspects, the market has been a volatile area in recent years, and it is now very hard to predict the fluctuations.

But, one thing is more or less certain – the prices they are a-increasin’! New gadgets have seen a surge in prices, which is due to various factors, and based on the latest rumors, the upcoming iPhone 17 models will also be hit by an increase.

To be frank, this rumor did not surprise us. Everything has been hit with a price increase, so a new iPhone model wouldn’t be an exception, would it? Of course, it is natural for new products to be more expensive than older ones, but the market has been so volatile recently that the price increases are far more significant than before.

As far as the new iPhone is concerned, “the people familiar with the supply chain said Apple would have trouble making up for China tariff costs solely by seeking further savings from its suppliers, meaning a hit to its profit margin was likely unless it could raise prices.”

As for the reasons, while the tariffs and the ongoing trade war between the U.S. and China certainly had an effect on the whole situation, companies are not really ready to blame it on all them, possibly due to the White House’s reaction to Amazon’s recent tariff idea, which has since been discarded.

Apple will want to turn a profit, and while the company is already known for its above-average prices, the new situation will likely force them to make a significant change, so users – while this is not a surprise – should be ready to pay more for the latest models.
