New Star Wars Game Announced Beyond Victory for Meta Quest Headsets

A new Star Wars game called Star Wars: Beyond Victory has just been announced. This exciting mixed reality experience is being created by Industrial Light & Magic (ILM) and Lucasfilm, and it will be available exclusively for Meta Quest 3 and 3S headsets.

In Beyond Victory, players will team up with the famous podracer Sebulba and a new character, Volo Bolus. The story takes place around the time of Solo: A Star Wars Story. Fans can expect a thrilling adventure filled with high-speed action, powerful engines, and an exciting storyline. The game will also have different modes for players to enjoy.

Right now, the game is in development for Meta Quest headsets. The first chance to play Beyond Victory will be at Star Wars Celebration in Tokyo, where fans will get an early look at the experience.

Jose Perez III, the director of Star Wars: Beyond Victory, shared his excitement: “We’re really excited to show the Star Wars community what we’ve been working on. By using mixed reality, we can bring the Star Wars universe to life in a way that hasn’t been done before. We can offer players a truly immersive experience right from their homes.”

To add even more excitement, an original Marvel comic will tell the story that leads into Beyond Victory. This comic will only be available as a free giveaway at the ILM and Meta Quest booth during Star Wars Celebration Japan.

The comic features cover art by Phil Noto and is written by Ethan Sacks. Inside, readers will find illustrations by Will Sliney, Steven Cummings, and Shogo Aoki.

At Star Wars Celebration Japan, attendees will also get the chance to try the game at special demo stations. These stations will feature Star Wars: Beyond Victory as well as other popular Star Wars VR experiences like Vader Immortal and Star Wars: Tales from the Galaxy’s Edge.

The event will be held from April 18 to 20, 2025, at the Makuhari Messe convention center in Japan. The ILM and Meta Quest booth will be located at Hall 4, Booth #20-5.
