New Footage from ‘Donkey Kong Bananza’ Highlights Donkey Kong and “Odd Rock”
Donkey Kong Bananza is coming out on July 17, 2025, about a month and a half after the Switch 2 release, which is to be accompanied by the release of Mario Kart World. Both these games come from Nintendo’s brand, so the expectation is very high.
Donkey Kong Bananza is going to be a very modern take on Donkey Kong, and based on the footage we’ve seen, it is going to be a highly entertaining game that will bring something new to fans of the franchise, as well as new players.

Donkey Kong Bananza is going to feature Donkey Kong, of course, as well as a partner character which has been dubbed “Odd Rock,” although this character is still an enigma, and we have already speculated about them.
As for the new footage, it shows off Donkey Kong in various poses, as well as “Odd Rock”, revealing something new about the character:
As you can see, there are some interesting details here, but we are also happy to confirm that “Odd Rock” can talk and sing in the game. This isn’t a big surprise, but it sounds very cute, and we cannot wait to see more of this interaction when the game comes out!
