Melania Trump Releases AI-Narrated Audiobook in Her Own Voice

Former First Lady Melania Trump has released her new memoir, Melania, as an audiobook. What makes it special is that it is narrated by an AI-generated version of her own voice.

Melania worked with a tech company called ElevenLabs to create the audiobook. ElevenLabs is known for its work with AI voices. The audiobook is available only in the ElevenReader app, which can be downloaded on iOS and Android devices.

The English version of the audiobook was released on May 22 and costs $25. More languages will be added soon, including Spanish, Portuguese, and Hindi.

“I am honored to bring you Melania – The AI Audiobook – narrated entirely using artificial intelligence in my own voice,” Melania Trump wrote in a post on X. “Let the future of publishing begin.”

The Melania audiobook joins many other titles in the ElevenReader app. Some books feature AI voices of well-known people like Dr. Maya Angelou, Deepak Chopra, Arianna Huffington, and Richard Feynman.

The app also lets users listen to books read in the voices of famous celebrities who have passed away, such as Judy Garland, Sir Laurence Olivier, John Wayne, and Burt Reynolds.

ElevenLabs has also worked with actor Sylvester Stallone and the family of musician Jerry Garcia from the Grateful Dead. The New York-based company started in 2022 and has raised $281 million. It is now valued at $3.3 billion.

The publisher of the book, Skyhorse Publishing, says Melania is “a compelling and inspirational memoir that offers a glimpse into the life of a remarkable woman who has navigated challenges with grace and determination.”

In the book, Melania writes about her childhood in Slovenia, her rise in the fashion world, and how meeting Donald Trump changed her life forever.
