‘Malasombra,’ New NES Game Is Now on Kickstarter, Possible Summer Release Teased

And while the NES is more or less a thing of the past, the console is not dead yet. There are diligent developers who are still working on NES games, so if you have a functioning console and are a fan of retro gaming, well – we have some good news for you.

A new NES game, Malasombra, is set to be released this year, and the game is now present on Kickstarter, where it has already reached the triple amount of its desired goal. This is great news for the game and we are now going to provide you with some details.

Eye candy for retro gamers, right? Well, the Kickstarter page for the game reveals more. The original goal was about $10,000, but the game has already collected more than $30,000, which means that the game’s release shouldn’t face any major issues.

We also know that the game has been completed and all that needs to be done, basically, is to prepare for the release. Based on the information we have, copies of the game could start shipping in August 2025, which is quite soon.

The game will be released in physical and digital format, and it promises to be an interesting action-adventure with a lot of puzzles.
