Lae’zel’s Voice Actress Had No Clue About NSFW Filters in ‘Baldur’s Gate 3′: “I was shocked ’cause I didn’t know this.”

The story of Baldur’s Gate 3 is a success story. The Game of the Year-winning title is even today considered one of the best games ever made, and it was lauded by critics and fans when it first came out in 2023.

The whole franchise has achieved cult status, but Baldur’s Gate 3 is a very special title, and in that aspect, it shouldn’t come as a surprise that there is a lot of interest in the game, even today, two years after the initial release.

We have a funny story for you in this report, which comes to us from Devora Wilde, the voice actress behind Lae’zel.

The story is actually related to the NSFW scenes in Baldur’s Gate 3, of which there are many, as you know. Some are related to graphic violence, but others are related to… well, “adult content.”

The fans of the game will know what scenes we are talking about, but they will also probably know that the game has an internal filter that lets you turn these scenes off, i.e., that lets you mask them a bit so that they are not that explicit. And they can get explicit, believe us.

And while Devora Wilde participated in the game’s development as the voice of Lae’zel, she reveals that she did not actually know about the filters, which is a funny moment, especially since her character is involved in NSFW scenes.

“I was shocked. I was shocked ’cause I didn’t know this – I didn’t know you could turn the filters, like the nudity filters, on or off,” she said in a recent interview. She also admitted that “we don’t leave anything at the door – and sometimes, if you have the filters set to ‘off,’ you see quite a lot.”

And that is true. Baldur’s Gate 3 does not shy away from graphic content, and in light of that fact, we really wanted to share this piece of information with you because we thought it would be a fun story to lighten up your weekend.

The Minthara romance was also mentioned, and we know that is one of the most steamy moments in the game, and Wilde admitted that she has “[so I have] the filters on,” when she is streaming her own gameplay.
