Insider Reveals Alleged Casting Call for Konami’s New Mystery Game

Since late February, we’ve known that Konami is working on a new mystery project. The project in question involves a collaboration with Bloober Team, the studio behing the successful Silent Hill 2 remake. Earlier reports confirmed that the two studios are working on a new project, but details are scarce.
We know that they are working on a new project that is based on one of Konami’s pre-existing IPs, but we don’t know which one at this point. It is unknown whether it is a new game or a remake, but based on the rumors we have, it could be a new installment of a pre-existing franchise.
The rumor comes from DanielRPK via his Patreon, as the popular leaker published a casting call detailing four characters for an unknown game:
[ MASAKI ]
Male, Japanese/Japanese-American, Mid 20’s to 40’s. Masaki is a sophisticated man who understands the nuances of the world, and how to navigate the perils of society. He keeps his nose clean and looks after his friends.
[ MARI ]
Female, Mid 20’s to 40’s, Japanese/Japanese-American. Mari is a refined woman, always polite and playing by the rules. But she’s stifled by her role as a homemaker and seeks human connection, even if it means straying from the norm.
[ SHINGO ]
Male, Mid 20’s to 30’s, Japanese/Japanese-American. Shingo is a dirtbag who lives in the slums of Tokyo. He’d kill you just as soon as look at you.
[ SUZU ]
Female, Mid 20’s to 30’s, Japanese/Japanese-American. Suzu is a low-class woman in a seedier area of Tokyo, who engages in rough talk with her friends. Spunky and full of life, she isn’t afraid to express her feelings and doesn’t feel bound by the rules of society.
Whether this is related to the announced mystery collaboration with Bloober Team is unknown, but it is most likely that, although we cannot rule out that this is a second mystery project that we have on our hands. Be that as it may, we’ll probably have more information for you soon, so don’t forget to keep following us for more!
