Activision might be planning changes to the Battle Pass system in Call of Duty 2025, according to a leak from @TheGhostOfHope. The leak suggests that some limited-time modes (LTMs) could require players to own the Battle Pass to participate.

Additionally, higher-valued skins and content might be included in the Battle Pass, rather than being offered through separate premium event passes.

This potential shift could mean that players would need to purchase the Battle Pass to access certain game modes and exclusive cosmetic items.

While Activision has not officially confirmed these changes, the information comes from a source known for credible Call of Duty leaks.

As the release of Call of Duty 2025 approaches, players were already disappointed earlier this week due to the potential new pricing for the game.

On May 1, 2025, Xbox announced price increases for consoles, controllers, and first-party games. After the 2025 holiday season, Xbox titles will reportedly cost over $79.99, possibly including Call of Duty 2025. This would mark a significant jump, as most Call of Duty games usually range from $20 to $50.

Xbox explained the change by saying:
We understand that these changes are challenging, and they were made with careful consideration given market conditions and the rising cost of development.

They added: “Looking ahead, we continue to focus on offering more ways to play more games across any screen and ensuring value for Xbox players.”

The price hike appears aimed at offsetting rising industry costs and maximizing holiday profits.
