Indie Cult Classic ‘Disco Elysium’ Coming to Mobile Phones This Summer

Released back in 2019, Disco Elysium became a cult classic. An indie game that reached the mainstream, Disco Elysium is a beloved psychological game that many fans consider to be a true timeless classic. And while the game is more or less a thing of the past, a new announcement just came.
Namely, as it turns out, Disco Elysium is going to get a mobile version this summer, although only Android users will actually get to experience the game at this time. It is unknown whether an iOS release is planned.
An announcement trailer has also been revealed, so before we dive into more details, check it out:
This is going to be a wholly reimagined approach to the cult game. Denis Havel, the head of the studio behind the release and one of the original developers, said the following: “We intend to captivate the TikTok user with quick hits of compelling story, art, and audio, ultimately creating an all new, deeply engaging form of entertainment.”
As far as the gaming experience is concerned, he added that “mobile players deserve deep, story-rich experiences, like Disco Elysium. With profound respect for the original’s artistry and meaning, we move forward as both custodians and creators, bringing this masterpiece to new and returning players alike. We want you to fall in love with Disco Elysium on your phone – all over again.”
The game will be released this summer on Google Android devices. Pre-registration is now open and we can confirm that the first two chapters will be free, while the rest will be available after one purchase that will also provide you with an ad-free version of the game.
