Ferrari Shows Off the New Piloti Ferrari 296 Speciale in Special Video

Today, Ferrari is mostly known for its racing cars and Formula 1 participation, but even if you’re not a professional racer, you can buy a Ferrari. Although it’s neither cheap nor readily available.
Most of the company’s cars are luxury speedsters that aren’t really made for urban driving, but everyone who’s ever ridden a Ferrari knows that the experience of taking the wheel of one such car is unique.
In light of that, the company has just revealed more details about its new Piloti Ferrari 296 Speciale, which is absolutely amazing, but it is so packed that you will basically have to be a pro racer to drive it safely.
Before we continue, check out the official reveal video:
The new model was revealed during the 24 Hours of Le Mans and it is inspired by the 499P and sports customizable touches. And while the vehicle looks beautiful and like something you’d want to own, the fact that it is “designed for those who live the track firsthand” makes it very, very exclusive.
And yes, based on the configuration, it basically requires a professional driver to drive safely. Nevertheless, it is more of a new style than a completely new car, so we can confirm that it retains the plug-in hybrid powertrain from the previous models. The powertrain thus consists of a twin-turbo 3.0-liter V6, a 7.45 kWh battery pack, an electric motor, and an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission.
This combined setup will give the car a monstrous set-up of 868 hp (648 kW / 880 PS) in total and an electric-only range of 15.6 miles (25 km). As for the time it takes from 0 to 62 mph (0-100 km/h), it is just 2.8 seconds. The top speed is recorded as 205 mph (330 km/h).
And that is why this car is so exclusive, but also special. We can confirm that it will come in four styles, titled Rosso Scuderia, Blu Tour De France, Nero Daytona, and Argento Nürburgring.
