New Report Allegedly Also Claims that the AirPods Pro 3 Won’t Be Out This Year

The AirPods Pro were introduced in 2019 for the first time and since then, they’ve been a solid hit for Apple as a middle way for those who did not want the basic AirPods or the over-ear AirPods Max.

The second generation debuted in 2022, with a different version appearing in 2023 and since then, there have been speculations about the third generation.

At this moment, the second generation is as old as the first one was when the second one came out, which means that the time is ripe for a third generation of AirPods Pro, but it seems that we’ll have to wait until 2026.

As you’ve probably heard, the AirPods Pro 3 were slated to be released later this year. This would have made a lot of sense, seeing how a new iPhone is coming out later this year and we’re preparing for the release of the iOS 26, whose developer beta had references to the AirPods Pro 3.

But, not that long ago, Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo revealed that the AirPods Pro 3 probably won’t launch this year, but in 2026, and now a new rumor is claiming the same thing:

The social media post claims to be taken from a Jeff Pu report, but we don’t know if it is true or not. If true, then this can certainly be taken as reliable, but as it is always the case with leaks and rumors, take them with a grain of salt.

Apple hasn’t confirmed the release of the AirPods Pro 3 this year, so we’ll definitely have to wait a bit to see whether the rumors are true or if Apple is going to surprise us.
