Mistfall Hunter BETA 2 Kicks Off with New RPG Adventures and a Gameplay Trailer
A dark fantasy world awaits as Bellring Games launches BETA 2 for ‘Mistfall Hunter’ today on Steam. I’m excited to dive into this third-person PvPvE extraction RPG, where players battle through the eerie Gyldenmist. This BETA 2 brings fresh ways to explore the Corrosion Age, a world shattered by a war between Gods and Outer Gods. Their spilled blood created the Gyldenmist, a creeping fog that drives people mad. A mysterious maiden named Dew, born from a fragment of the Fate Goddess’s soul, revives fallen heroes to fight corrupted creatures and rival hunters. I love how the game mixes magic and steel, letting us switch weapons mid-fight to adapt to monstrous foes.
One big addition is the Seer class, a holy caster who wields a Catalyst relic to heal allies, shield them, or cleanse curses. It’s a game-changer for team play. We also get two new areas to explore. Lake Iris is a steamy, geothermal region packed with dangerous blooms called Ember Iris and shadowy threats. The Forge, a cursed ruin, still echoes with the hammering of undead craftsmen, forever bound to their work. Both spots feel alive with secrets and danger.
Solo players can now jump in without a squad, facing other lone hunters in the Gyldenmist. I’m thrilled about the real-time voice chat, which makes coordinating with teammates feel seamless. Classes like Mercenary, Sorcerer, Blackarrow, and Shadowstrix got major updates, with sharper skills and smoother controls for intense battles.
The gameplay loop is addictive. We fight corrupted enemies or rival players for rare loot, but death means losing it all. To escape with our haul, we need to hunt down a Returner Woodling, a rare creature that drops the Soul of Return. Defeating it opens a path home, but it’s never easy.
