Elon Musk Shatters Records as First Person to Surpass $600 Billion in Wealth
Elon Musk has officially made history as the first individual to accumulate a net worth exceeding $600 billion. According to recent calculations by Forbes, the tech mogul’s fortune skyrocketed to an estimated $677 billion early this week.
The massive surge in wealth is largely attributed to a new valuation of his aerospace company, SpaceX. Reports indicate that a recent tender offer valued the private company at a staggering $800 billion, doubling its previous valuation from just a few months ago.
Since Musk owns an estimated 42 percent stake in SpaceX, this valuation shift alone added approximately $168 billion to his net worth. This jump has widened the gap significantly between him and the world’s second-richest person, with Musk now leading by hundreds of billions of dollars.
In addition to SpaceX, his artificial intelligence venture, xAI, is reportedly raising capital at a valuation of nearly $230 billion. These combined successes have accelerated predictions that Musk could become the world’s first trillionaire as early as next year.
