A Concept Preview of the Next-Gen Corvette Reveals a Beautifully Futuristic Sports Car
The Chevrolet Corvette has been a symbol of elegance among sports cars for many years now. And while this is a very special brand, it is extremely popular among car enthusiasts and we cannot deny that the Corvettes are always something special.
Now, as the automobile industry is slowly stepping into the future, we are seeing more and more futuristic designs among the released prototypes, even when “regular” cars are concerned, let alone sports cars.
In light of that, a concept preview of the upcoming C9 Corvette has just been released and we have fallen in love with it immediately.
Before we reveal any details, here is a video you can check out:
If you’re wondering whether this is going to be the final C9 model, it won’t, but the final model will incorporate elements from this design, which was made by GM’s new Advanced Design Studio in Leamington Spa. Another concept prototype is going to be designed by GM’s LA-based studio and shown later this year before the final reveal.
The final reveal is expected to take place around August and it will showcase the design made by GM’s Detroit studio, which will incorporate elements from the British and LA designs. This one is expected to be the final version of the upcoming model.
And while no specs have been given, it is expected that the upcoming model will be an electric car. “What we’ve done here doesn’t promise it [pure EV] in the next generation or anything close to that, it’s a concept, but giving it an EV propulsion system means you can do more with the aero – a more efficient underbody, and flow air through the body,” Michael Simcoe, senior VP of global design said.
