This tactical, turn-based Viking saga, slated for release in 2025, now has a fresh trailer that showcases more of its epic narrative, strategic combat, and Viking culture.

In NORSE: Oath of Blood, players take on the role of Gunnar, a young Viking warrior who embarks on a quest to avenge his father’s murder and reclaim his rightful place as leader. Set in the harsh and rugged landscapes of dark age Norway, the game’s storyline revolves around betrayal, loyalty, and rebuilding from the ashes of loss.

After the ruthless Steinarr Far-Spear murders Jarl Gripr and seizes power, Gunnar’s path becomes clear: gather allies, build a powerful settlement, and train a loyal warband to fight back. Every decision shapes the outcome of Gunnar’s journey, testing players’ strategic thinking and moral choices.

The game features turn-based tactical battles where positioning and strategy are crucial for survival. In addition to combat, players will also manage and expand Gunnar’s settlement, turning it from a humble camp into a thriving Viking stronghold.

The choices made will influence relationships and shape the alliances that are crucial to Gunnar’s success.

Written by award-winning author Giles Kristian, NORSE: Oath of Blood brings a historically grounded narrative to life, blending Viking lore with intense tactical gameplay. The game’s characters and plot are crafted to immerse players in a world where honor and revenge drive the story forward.

NORSE: Oath of Blood will be available for Windows PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store, as well as PlayStation®5 and Xbox Series X|S. Players can already add the game to their wishlist on PC storefronts.

It’s set for a 2025 release in North America and Europe.
