VicOne and MediaTek Partner to Secure Connected Vehicles
At CES 2025, VicOne and MediaTek are showcasing their new automotive cybersecurity solutions, BusinessWire reports. Together, they’re highlighting how AI-powered technology can enhance security in vehicle-to-everything (v2x) communications.
Their solutions aim to protect connected cars from cyber threats and ensure the safety of telematics systems.
VicOne is introducing xCarbon, a software-based system designed to detect and prevent intrusions in automotive telematics. This system can identify harmful activity in real-time, protecting vehicles from threats like malicious web access, remote attacks like Shellshock, and unknown app executions that could compromise sensitive data.
Max Cheng, CEO of VicOne, mentioned that MediaTek’s advanced technology is ideal for supporting connected vehicles and the growing demand for reliable, fast data transmission in software-defined vehicles (SDVs).
He emphasized that their joint efforts bring top-notch cybersecurity to the telematics space, which gives automakers and their suppliers confidence in adopting cutting-edge services while ensuring safety and compliance.
The automotive industry is facing increasing cybersecurity challenges as vehicles become more connected and automated. As more systems depend on AI and advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), the risk of cyberattacks grows.
VicOne is committed to leading the way in automotive cybersecurity, offering specialized solutions to protect vehicles and drivers.
