Toyota Teases New Electric Crossover Ahead of March Debut

Toyota is set to reveal a new electric vehicle on 11 March, and it’s expected to be the production version of the bZ Compact Concept shown in 2022. The car will likely be a compact crossover and should be smaller than the bZ4X, which has not been a huge success.
This new model might be a step away from Toyota’s current electric naming style, as the bZ badge may be dropped. The new vehicle is said to have a sleek coupe design and a spacious interior with good driving dynamics, aiming for cars like the Volvo EC40.
While we don’t know the full details yet, we can expect it to share some of the Urban Cruiser’s powertrain features, such as 49kWh and 61kWh battery options, rear-wheel or all-wheel drive, and a potential range of up to 250 miles. It’s likely to pack up to 181bhp.
This reveal is set to be another step in Toyota’s electric journey, so stay tuned for the full launch next month.
