The Date for the Next Nintendo Direct Has Potentially Leaked and It Is Very Soon

February's Nintendo Direct Will Reveal Last Major Switch Game According to Rumor

There’s some fresh speculation about the next Nintendo Direct, and if the latest discovery is accurate, we might not have to wait much longer. While Nintendo hasn’t said anything official, a pattern has emerged that suggests a new Direct could happen very soon.

Right now, there’s already talk of a Nintendo Direct in February, focused on the current Nintendo Switch. Meanwhile, the first-ever Nintendo Switch 2 Direct is scheduled to take place on April 2. But the latest finding points to an event much sooner—possibly next week.

Nintendo’s Transfer User Data and Transfer Save Data services are scheduled for maintenance on February 4. Why is that interesting? Because in three of the last five cases, a Nintendo Direct happened on the same day or the day after.

Maybe it’s a coincidence, but it’s a strange one considering previous rumors and the company’s upcoming investor earnings call. If this theory holds up, we could be looking at a Direct on February 4 or February 5.

If it’s happening, Nintendo will likely announce it soon—either on February 2 or February 3. If the event is set for February 5, then February 4 could be the announcement date instead. Either way, we’ll know for sure by the end of next week.

Nintendo hasn’t responded to any of the speculation, and honestly, it probably won’t. The company rarely comments on leaks like this. But if anything changes, we’ll be keeping an eye on it.
